What is CORDURA® Fabric?

Buy the wrong fabric and you'll be replacing your workwear every season. That's why we stock brands built on CORDURA®.

For nearly 60 years, CORDURA® Advanced Fabrics have set the benchmark for durability. Born from military-grade performance and engineered for the demands of modern trade, hard graft, and everyday wear, CORDURA® has become the name tradespeople trust when their kit needs to survive the job.

What Makes CORDURA® Different

Not all workwear fabric is built the same. Here's what sets CORDURA® apart.

Serious abrasion resistance. CORDURA® fabric is often two to three times more durable than standard nylon at the same weight. That means fewer worn knees, fewer split seams, and gear that lasts through the jobs that wreck ordinary kit.

Stronger by design. CORDURA® uses air-textured yarns, spun using a high-pressure air stream to boost surface area. The result is fabric with more strength and texture built in from the fibre up, not just added on.

Built to shrug off the weather. CORDURA® fabric is naturally water repellent, and many fabrics are treated further for enhanced waterproofing, flame retardancy, or infrared reflectance. Whatever the site throws at you, your kit keeps working.

A weight for every job. CORDURA® spans a wide denier range, from lightweight 330D fabrics through to heavy-duty 1000D and ballistic-grade options for the toughest conditions. Whether you need something light and mobile or built for extreme wear, there's a CORDURA® fabric weight to match.

CORDURA® certification isn't handed out lightly. Fabrics have to meet strict performance and durability testing before they earn the right to carry the CORDURA® name. So when you see the CORDURA® hangtag or sew-in label on a garment, it's a sign the fabric has been through the wringer already, so you don't have to worry about it doing the same to you.
